South Milwaukee Man Charged for Fifth OWI

A 31-year-old man from South Milwaukee was arrested on Friday, July 1st after operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Brandon M. Holtz appeared in court a few days later and received an OWI felony charge for the fifth time as well as a misdemeanor for operating a vehicle without a license.

Holtz was seen at two o’clock in the morning on Friday traveling 20 mph over the speed limit on an interstate highway. He did not stop for the state trooper’s patrol lights, and was finally apprehended after pulling into a gas station. If found guilty, Holtz faces up to $10,000 in fines, up to 6 years in prison, further revocation of his license, and the installation of an ignition interlock device for up to 3 years.
