Man pleads not guilty to armed robbery charges
Twenty-year-old Gregory Rounds was arraigned on Thursday, June 2 on charges of armed robbery, one count of felony murder (habitual criminality repeater), and bail jumping (habitual criminality repeater) in connection to an armed robbery at the O’Reilly Auto Parts store near 76th and Mill in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
According to the criminal complaint, a witness said he was at the O’Reilly Auto Parts store during the night of the robbery, when the female cashier “froze” with a “frightened look on her face.” The witness heard one of the men with semi-automatic handguns tell her: “All we want is the cash.” They then asked the employees to empty out all the cash registers in the store and to give the money to them. Rounds was accompanied by his cousin, Burt Johnson. According to police, Johnson fired his weapon at the police officers and one officer got hit in the chest.
