Man charged with killing his mother found not competent to stand trial

Forty-year-old Hales Corners resident Robert Rozewicz, who has a history of mental illness, was found not to be mentally competent enough to proceed with his trial after he was charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of his 68-year-old mother, Julie Rozewicz.

Rozewicz shared a home with his mother on the 6000 block of S. 116th Street. Her body was found at a Muskego landfill on March 20, 2016. Julie reportedly confided in a neighbor that she had been afraid of living with her son after he led the police on a 10-mile chase in May 2015. Rozewicz was deemed incompetent to proceed with trial when he faced said criminal charges of fleeing as well.
