Testimony heard about autopsy results in murder trial
Prosecutors displayed five-year-old Evelyn Miller’s autopsy during the murder trial of 35-year-old Casey Frederiksen on March 6 at the Hamilton County District Court in Wisconsin, the Globe Gazette reported on March 6.
Jerri McLemore, the doctor who performed Evelyn’s autopsy, told the jury that the cause of death of the little girl was sharp-force injuries – stabs and slashes – and that the weapon used to kill her might very well have been a knife.
Items from another suspect, Randy Patrie, were tested for traces of the young girl’s DNA, but none was found. Evelyn’s clothes in particular would be difficult to test, as they were covered in mud and had been through the river.
