Racine man sentenced for involvement in drug deal
On October 29, Defabian Golden of Racine, was sentenced to nine years of jail for his involvement in the December 2009 drug deal that resulted in a violent shooting. In addition to his imprisonment, Golden will be subjected to 14 years of extended supervision.
Though Golden orchestrated the drug deal, he allegedly did not intend for firearms to be present. He later identified 26 year-old Milwaukee resident, Maurice Collins as the shooter. Collins now faces two charges of attempted first-degree homicide, two counts of attempted armed robbery, and felony possession of a firearm.
