23-year-old Milwaukee local faces gun and marijuana possession charges
Twenty-three-year-old Milwaukee resident Omar Triggs is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and use of a dangerous weapon for allegedly having in his possession a half pound of marijuana and a loaded 9-millimeter gun. Triggs will appear in court on October 8 for a preliminary hearing.
Milwaukee police noticed a car parked illegally in an alley in the 3600 block of N. 11th Street at around 6 p.m. on September 13, a criminal complaint showed.
When questioned by policemen, Triggs told them he had a firearm in possession and showed them his permit to carry a concealed gun.
According to Triggs, he parks his cars in an off-alley garage. The officers were given consent to search the area, where they found a digital scale, plastic bags, and a backpack holding the marijuana.
