School District Admin Arrested for Internet Sex Crime in Milwaukee

A New Holstein School District administrator was arrested in Milwaukee Thursday and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.

According to officials with the Milwaukee Police Department, 58 year-old Christopher Nelson was arrested after arranging a sexual rendezvous with a police officer he believed to be a 15 year-old boy. Nelson and the officer had been chatting since Nelson responded to a Craigslist ad in June.

According to Calumet County Circuit Court documents, the child pornography charges carry a presumptive minimum sentence of three years in prison and a combined maximum of 75 years. Nelson is scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges February 21. He is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 cash bond.

He is charged in Milwaukee county Circuit Court with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, a felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
