2 Milwaukee Men Arrested in Green Bay Diamond Theft

Police arrested two Milwaukee men Wednesday in connection with a jewelry store theft in Green Bay.

According to officials with the Green Bay Police Department, a diamond that was stolen from a jewelry store Tuesday was identified at a Milwaukee pawnshop Wednesday. The diamond is said to be worth more than $2,500. Green Bay police Capt. Todd Thomas said a 39 year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection to a retail theft at a Bellvue Walmart. A Brown County Sheriff’s Department deputy recognized the man from surveillance images from the jewelry store.

A 22 year-old man was arrested Thursday after a pawnshop employee helped identify him. A white van, used in the theft, was also recovered Wednesday. The diamond will be picked up Monday, Thomas said.

Police are seeking charges of felony theft for both suspect.
