Man Faces Charges in Hiring Murderers
A New York man has been charged with paying $8,000 to three people to murder his business partner. The man pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. One of the three people hired, the individual who was to carry out the killing, also pleaded not guilty.
Initially, there were only charges of second-degree murder because it was believed that the man had died in a robbery gone wrong. However, another individual, one of the three involved, testified that the New York man had offered to pay for having his partner killed.
