Police Arrest Milwaukee Bank Robbery Suspect

A Milwaukee man has been arrested in connection with a Monday morning bank robbery.

According to officials with the Fond du Lac Police Department, police arrested a 22 year-old Milwaukee man in connection with the robbery of the Hometown Bank located at 80 Sheboygan Street. The robbery occurred shortly after 9:00 a.m. Monday. Bank personnel reported that an African American male presented a note demanding money. The suspect then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Fond du Lac Police detectives were able to develop a suspect based on video and physical evidence recovered at the bank. The suspect was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon in the Milwaukee area. He is currently being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a preliminary charge of Robbery of a Financial Institution.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
