Two teenagers were arrested in connection with the shooting of an 11 year-old girl in Milwaukee’s Dineen Park Monday. According to officials with the Milwaukee Police Department, an 11 year-old girl was walking with her mother through Dineen Park shortly after 6:00 p.m. Monday when she was shot in the thigh. Police say the girl was walking with a slight limp and did not realize she had been shot until she returned home. Witnesses told police about five or six shots were fired. A number of people ran out of the park during the shooting. Alderman Michael Murphy said police took two teenagers into custody Tuesday, and officers believe one is the shooter. Police do not believe the 11 year-old was the intended target.
