Police in Milwaukee have arrested a suspect who allegedly stole a car which had a seven-month-old baby inside it.

According to officials with the Milwaukee Police Department, the owner of the vehicle was paying for fuel at a gas station at the corner of North 27th and West Wright Streets on Milwaukee's north side late Sunday when the incident occurred. The suspect came up to the vehicle, kicked the man out, and drove off with the baby, police say.

Someone found the child about thirty minutes later sitting on top of a squad car outside the Milwaukee Police District Four station. The child was unharmed.

The suspect is a 60 year-old man from Wisconsin Rapids. He believed that the car belonged to him and that the person inside it had stolen the vehicle, police say.
