Milwaukee Man Arrested for Attacking Beer Truck

by Administrator 20. January 2011 04:30
Milwaukee police arrested a man for smashing a truckload of beer with a metal pipe. According to officials with the Milwaukee Police Department, a beer truck was delivering to the Mid-Town grocery store Friday when the incident occurred. The attacker scolded the deliverymen for bringing, what he called, poison into his neighborhood. The suspect approached the delivery men and ordered them to stop the delivery, but he was ignored, police say. Mid-Town owner Nirmal Singh said the man proceeded to beat the cases of canned beer for about a half hour. When the suspect got tired he sat against a wall and waited for police, Singh said. Police say several people took advantage of the deliveryman's distraction and stole beer from the truck. Singh estimated the product loss at about $2,000.
