A man in Milwaukee has been charged with two felonies for a standoff that shut down a major freeway for six hours. According to officials with the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, 42 year-old Donald Hale was charged Wednesday with operating a vehicle without consent and failure to comply with officer's attempt to take a person into custody. Hale was charged as a repeat offender on both counts. The criminal complaint accuses Hale of refusing to get out of a stolen sports utility vehicle on Interstate 94, along with his girlfriend. The filing claims hail threatened sheriff's deputies with a firearm magazine. Deputies arrested the two Friday after sending in a robotic device to break the rear window and throw in tear gas. Hale's girlfriend has not yet been charged. If you have been charged with a federal crime in Milwaukee, please contact a Milwaukee criminal defense attorney of Kohler & Hart by calling 888-565-7597.
