Today, the customer who shot an armed robbery suspect at an Aldi grocery store on Monday evening is meeting with Milwaukee prosecutors. The attempted armed robbery occurred at about 7 p.m. at W. Villard Ave. and N. 76th St.
Police arrested two suspects in the attempted robbery, one of whom was shot by a customer at the store who was carrying a handgun. According to witnesses, the injured suspect was pointing a shotgun at the store’s cashiers.
The customer was asked to meet with prosecutors with the district attorney’s office, but was not arrested after the incident. Reports suggest that the customer does have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
