Former Contract Killer Charged with Identity Theft in Milwaukee

A fugitive contract killer has been charged in Milwaukee with federal identity theft charges.

According to officials with the United States Secret Service, 35 year-old Kurtis Arman was arrested at a Brookfield hotel with computers, cameras, a magnetic card reader, a machine for making and encoding laminated ID cards, driver's licenses from Virginia and Ohio, and Army Reserves ID card, and Social Security cards.

Court records also indicate Armann had rented a storage unit in Milwaukee, where investigators found a minivan that had been stolen from Florida. Surveillance video showed him parking the van in the unit in October.

Armann has been charged with identity theft as well as violating the terms of his parole. He is due in court on September 7.

5 Men Rob Church Bingo Game in Milwaukee

Police arrested four men who allegedly robed a church bingo game Friday night, and they are looking for a fifth.

According to officials with the Milwaukee Police Department, five men burst into the weekly game night at St. Rafael Church and stole the $3,000 prize. Police say the men were armed and wearing Halloween masks.

Parishioner Mary Stenger recalled the incident saying: "All of the sudden someone hollered 'there's a man with a gun' . . . Anyone who had a purse on the table, it was taken."

Police arrested four men shortly after the robbery was reported and continue to look for the fifth suspect.

2 Arrested in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa Armed Robberies

Wauwatosa police have arrested two men suspected of a string of armed robberies in Milwaukee.

According to officials with the Wauwatosa Police Department, the two men are behind robberies in Milwaukee at Walgreens at 91st and Good Hope, Beans and Barley on E. North Avenue, and the Landmark Credit Union in Wauwatosa.

According to Milwaukee Police Department spokeswoman Anne Schwartz, police made the arrests after receiving information from someone who saw a surveillance video of the August 2 robbery of Walgreens that was broadcast on local news stations. She said she expects the district attorney to review charges against the two suspects this week.

2 Charged with Drug Possession in Deerfield

Two men from Milwaukee were charged with drug possession in Deerfield June 28.

According to officials with the Deerfield Police Department, officer discovered a pair of gallon bags of marijuana in the trunk of a car during a traffic stop. Police say 26 year-old Kelly K. McCray, of the 3000 block of Capitol Drive in Milwaukee, was charged with possession of more than 500 grams of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

A passenger in McCray's vehicle, 29 year-old Michael D. Brock, of the 2000 block of 47th Street in Milwaukee, was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana.

The two are scheduled in court on August 14.
