by Administrator 18. November 2009 07:06

A Milwaukee, Wisconsin man has recently been charged with killing his 14 year-old stepson.  According to reports,  the man killed his 14 year-old stepson in an attempt to get back at his wife and her family members.  The man claimed that the wife and relatives were interfering with his business. The man has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide for strangling the 14 year-old to death in a Walmart parking lot.

This is not the first act of violence and the man has had a violent past.  The man had reportedly struck his wife with a hammer several times about a week prior to this incident.  The wife was filing a police report for this incident at about the time her son was being killed.

Shoplifting Increases with Poor Performing Economy

by Administrator 13. November 2009 07:09

The number of shoplifting arrests and cases has increased within the last year.  One of the main drivers for this increase in criminal activity has been the poor performing economy. Many individuals are unable to afford many of the items that they need and some of these individuals have attempted to steal the item.

Many individuals accused of shoplifting are wrongly accused.  Some individuals simply made a mistake or forgot to pay.  If shoplifting charges are brought against you,  they could cause serious long-term problems for the individual. Proper representation will be important in protecting one's self.

Milwaukee Council Asks for Tougher Gun Laws

by Administrator 4. November 2009 05:37

The Milwaukee Common Council has urged state lawmakers to adopt legislation that would make gun laws more strict.  The proposals have asked for lawmakers to do more to prevent former felons from possessing a gun.

Many are concerned with a former felon's ability to purchase guns through a process known as "straw buying".  The "straw buying" process involves an individual with a clean record purchasing a firearm for a felon.  This is currently a misdemeanor, however the council has asked for this practice to be made a felony.  A major reason for this is because several firearms were purchased with this method that have been used in a string of shootings.
