Rape Charges Against Firefighter Dropped

by Administrator 30. May 2008 07:05
A firefighter in North Carolina had been placed on unpaid administrative leave after being accused of rape by a woman he knew. Robert Lee Hagy returned to work last week when the charges were dropped after a grand jury determined that the evidence against the firefighter did not provide enough information to find the man guilty. After the charges were dropped, Hagy was allowed to return to the Concord Fire and Life Safety Department, where he has worked for the last three years. Charges Dropped Against Teacher

by Administrator 5. May 2008 05:05
Charges have been dropped against a high school football coach after authorities said that the story of the 14-year-old student who accused him is hard to believe. The credibility of the story has been under question for some time and the prosecution was unable to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. The 14-year-old was the only witness to the supposed event. The teacher, David Kelley, has been suspended without pay and has had to face a charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Not only has the event damaged his reputation, but has negatively affected his career. Now that the charges have been dropped, the school has decided to investigate the allegations and make their own ruling on his employment status at the high school. If you or a loved one are facing criminal sexual assault charges, contact the sex crimes criminal defense attorneys at Kohler & Hart by calling 888-565-7597.
